Our Why
Friends of Xavier Catholic Prep hopes to respond to the interest and need in Central Oregon for a Catholic high school, grounded in Christ and a tradition of excellence.
We will serve Central Oregon families seeking a high school reflecting Catholic values and boasting academic rigor, athletic excellence, and strong faith development.
In establishing Xavier Catholic Prep, we will provide a holistic educational opportunity that not only inspires students to become their best selves but also gives back to the community in Central Oregon.
Our Mission
Xavier Catholic Preparatory, a proposed Catholic high school in Central Oregon, will welcome students of all faiths in a Christ-centered tradition of excellence.
Through the holistic development of the adolescent’s gifts, Xavier will educate the whole person by engaging students in spiritual, academic, athletic, and aesthetic experiences. By nurturing community and fostering individual growth, Xavier Catholic Preparatory will seek to graduate well-rounded servant leaders, grounded in Christ, who will better the world as men and women for others.

Core Values in Action
Faith
Xavier will ground faith development in a two-pronged approach: a robust and integrated theology curriculum and a Campus Ministry program that helps all students deepen their faith. Rooted in the Catholic tradition, we will offer daily opportunities for prayer, as well as spiritual growth through Mass, retreats, faith-sharing groups, Adoration, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Our retreats will include the Freshman and Sophomore Overnights, the Junior Encounter, and the Senior Pilgrimage.
Community
Xavier students will deepen their love for God, others, and themselves throughout their time at Xavier Prep. The Xavier community, grounded in Christ, will nurture an environment which strengthens students in their love and service to God and one another, bringing their gifts into the world, for "we were not born for ourselves alone" (Cicero).
Excellence
We will strive for excellence in all things: academics, moral and spiritual formation, athletics and the arts. We know that excellence is measured in more than test scores. It is also measured in character, work ethic, and joy.
Servant Leadership
Serving others goes beyond requiring service hours; at Xavier Prep, we will inspire our students to use their talents, teaching them to love in an intentional way which actualizes their gifts and reaches out to those in need. We will draw on the Christian tradition of love as service as we cultivate a life-long habit of servant leadership in our students.
